This video project was developed as an introduction to the faculty and students of the Computational Imaging Group at Washington University. The goal was to create an engaging and accessible piece that could support recruitment and raise the group’s visibility across academic and research communities. The video was intended for use across digital platforms, including email marketing, social media, and official university websites.
Concept & Results:
I served as producer, director, grip, and editor on this project, managing every stage from pre-production to final delivery. Working closely with faculty members and student researchers, I helped shape a narrative that balanced technical insight with personal storytelling. The final video has since earned nearly 500 views and was successfully deployed across multiple channels. It contributed to increased engagement with the department’s outreach efforts. My biggest takeaway from this project was the value of clear, human-centered storytelling in translating complex research into compelling content.
