This project involved the redevelopment of the departmental Master's handbook, a core resource for graduate students. The handbook serves as a comprehensive guide, outlining essential policies, requirements, and support services that students rely on throughout their time in the program. My goal was to enhance its clarity, usability, and overall design to better meet the needs of both incoming and current students.
Concept & Results:
Working closely with academic advisors and administrative staff, I led the content overhaul and layout redesign of the handbook. My role included reorganizing the structure for easier navigation, refining the language to improve readability, and implementing a clean, professional visual style consistent with the department’s branding. The result was a more user-friendly and accessible document that improved the student experience and reduced the volume of routine advising questions. The project reinforced the importance of user-centered communication design, and it was particularly successful in aligning departmental goals with student needs.
