This video project was created to spotlight a major annual event hosted by the department and to showcase the innovative undergraduate research taking place within it. The goal was to craft a dynamic and engaging piece that could serve multiple marketing purposes, from student recruitment to departmental visibility.
I was responsible for producing, directing, filming, and editing the video. Working independently, I managed all aspects of the production from planning through post. The final deliverable needed to be flexible enough for use across email campaigns, social media, and both the departmental and university websites.
Concept & Results:
The concept centered on capturing both the excitement of the event and the individual stories of student researchers. Through interviews, live footage, and thoughtful editing, the video aimed to blend authenticity with a polished, professional feel.
The final piece was well received by both the department and the university’s communications team. It successfully increased engagement across platforms and became a key asset in undergraduate recruitment efforts. This project reinforced the importance of clear storytelling and adaptability in content creation, especially when working across platforms and audiences.
